Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: April 20, 2026

Version: 2026-04-20.2

1. Our commitment

Recover My Deposit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to the design, development, and maintenance of our website and services.

2. Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Our internal assessments — automated axe-core and Lighthouse scans of every page (authenticated and public), component-level jest-axe tests, and periodic manual keyboard and screen-reader spot checks — have found no evidence of nonconformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have not yet commissioned a complete third-party accessibility audit. See the Assessment approach and Known issues sections below for details.

3. Scope

This statement applies to the Recover My Deposit website at recover-my-deposit.com, including the authenticated application (dashboard, case intake, document upload, and account management flows). It does not apply to third-party content embedded via integrations (for example, our payment processor's checkout pages) — those services are governed by their own vendors' accessibility statements.

4. Assessment approach

We assess the accessibility of our platform using the following approaches:

  • Automated testing— every pull request runs axe-core against our end-to-end browser tests, and Lighthouse CI tracks accessibility score regressions. Pull requests fail on any WCAG 2 A/AA violation rated “critical” or “serious.”
  • Component-level testing — key interactive components (forms, navigation, dialogs) are tested with jest-axe in unit tests.
  • Manual review — periodic keyboard-only and screen-reader spot checks of high-traffic flows (sign-in, case intake, document upload).

We have not commissioned a third-party accessibility audit yet. When we do, we will publish a summary of the findings and the remediation status here.

5. Known issues

As of the last reviewed date above, we are not aware of any accessibility barriers on Recover My Deposit. Our automated axe-core and Lighthouse scans report no WCAG 2 A/AA violations across every page in the application, authenticated and public.

We also track accessibility work publicly on GitHub under the accessibility label. If you encounter a barrier that our scans did not catch, please report it using the contact information below — we will open a GitHub issue and reply with the tracking link.

6. Feedback and contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Recover My Deposit. If you encounter accessibility barriers, or if you need content in an alternative format, please reach out through our contact form and mark the subject as “Accessibility.”

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days. We will prioritize reports that prevent access to core functionality (sign-in, case submission, payment).

7. Technical details

Recover My Deposit relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • WAI-ARIA
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

8. Compatibility

Recover My Deposit is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) combined with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack). The site may not be fully compatible with browsers more than two major versions old.
